Pamoja · Africa's cyber talent engine

Africa's youth don't need another certificate. They need a way into the job.

Pamoja Cyber Academy is built for one thing: turning unemployed school leavers and career-changers into junior SOC analysts that African employers actually hire. Globally-recognised cyber curriculum, employer-validated workplace-readiness, and a verifiable letter recruiters can confirm in one click.

The crisis we exist to address

South Africa has 4.9 million unemployed young people. The continent has 45,000 unfilled cyber roles in Kenya alone.

The supply gap is solvable. The reason it persists is not lack of talent or lack of funding — it is the missing layer between a certificate and a real job offer. Pamoja exists to build that layer, with employers in the room every step of the way.

Five commitments to every funder, sponsor and partner

Skills programmes fail when they stop talking to employers. Pamoja never stops.

Existing learnerships, bursaries and YES placements rarely guarantee work afterwards — SETAs target 70 % absorption (often unmet), YES4Youth exempts host companies in year one, and Harambee’s flagship Digital Jobs cohort placed roughly 12 % of trainees directly. We respect every one of those programmes — and we exist because the missing piece is a continuous employer-feedback loop. Here are our five operational commitments.

Curriculum refreshed every quarter

Every 90 days the curriculum is reviewed against the live job postings of our Employer Advisory Council. Anything no longer required by hiring managers is retired; anything new is added before the next cohort starts.

Employer Advisory Council

A standing committee of African employers (banks, MSSPs, parastatals, fintechs) who set the bar for what “job ready” means. Founding members shape the curriculum, run mock interviews and receive priority access to graduates.

Verifiable Workplace-Ready Letter

Every learner who completes the programme receives a code-verifiable letter signed by the Programme Director, listing per-skill scores. Employers confirm authenticity in one click at /verify — no phone calls, no fraud risk.

Direct introduction to our hiring pipeline

Top-quartile graduates are introduced — by name and with portfolio — to a curated short-list of Council employers each month. We do not charge placement fees; we charge for the training that produces hire-ready candidates.

Free retake if not interview-ready

If a learner completes 100 % of the programme and does not receive a single interview from the Council pipeline within six months, they retake the entire programme — free. We absorb the cost. Our skin is in the game.

Aligned to global certifications

Every phase maps to the published exam objectives of CompTIA Security+, CySA+, EC-Council CEH and ISC2 CC.

Curated video lectures

Embedded talks and screencasts from leading practitioners at CMU, MIT, SANS and NIST.

The Pamoja Cybersecurity Pathway

Pamoja Workplace-Ready · also sold standalone

Workplace-Ready is a product of its own — because employability is a problem of its own.

Anyone running a skills programme that lacks a structured employability layer can plug Pamoja Workplace-Ready into their cohort — with our verifiable letter at the end.
